31 Days of Projects
As I considered a theme for this year’s 31-day series, I wanted something broad enough to stay interesting for a full month but specific enough to be fun and useful for you. I also wanted a topic that would give me freedom to experiment, create, and share a variety of ideas without getting bored halfway through.
That’s how I landed on 31 Days of Projects—a month-long, mixed-bag celebration of hands-on ideas, creative experiments, and practical makeovers.

I’m using the word “projects” in a very flexible way. Over the next 31 posts you’ll see an assortment of content: home décor projects, quick crafts, blog-design tips, recipes, and full room reveals. Some posts will highlight brand-new DIYs from start to finish; others will be roundups of past favorites or refreshed ideas. The goal is variety—things you can try in a weekend, ideas you can adapt for your home, and small creative experiments that don’t require a big budget or a lot of equipment.
Because this series is intentionally wide-ranging, expect posts that wander into different creative corners: furniture makeovers, curbside finds, photography tips, vintage linen care, practical organizational hacks, and a few comfort-food recipes to keep you fueled while you work. I hope the mix will inspire you to tackle a small makeover, try a simple craft, or experiment with a fresh arrangement in a tired room.
One of the things I love most about a project series like this is the spontaneity. Not everything is planned months in advance—some ideas will pop up as I work, and others will evolve from reader suggestions. That means posts may be a little unpredictable, but they’ll be honest, practical, and rooted in real, repeatable steps you can use at home.
Tomorrow’s post kicks off with a curbside-find story and the makeover that followed. If you love thrifted pieces, upcycling, or the thrill of turning a forgotten object into something beautiful, you’ll want to check that one out. Throughout the month, I’ll also share project outlines, materials lists, time estimates, and helpful tips so you can recreate the looks or adapt the ideas to your own style.
P.S. A heartfelt thank-you to the kind hosts of the Work It Wednesday link party for featuring my Dining Room turned Office makeover—you truly made my day!
If you’re participating in or following the Write 31 Days challenge this year, I’m glad you’re here. This series is part of that creative push, and I appreciate everyone who reads, comments, and shares ideas along the way.
