Returning to my routine after almost a month away has been a bit of a transition!
Today, I settled into my small office space at Bildirimlerim to begin writing down the memories and photos I collected.
My first feature showcases my sister's lovely residence; our family consists of 5 siblings—3 girls and 2 boys—and I am the youngest, while she is the second youngest.

Here is Susan, the central figure of this tour (Hello, Susan!).
She kindly permitted me to photograph her home and agreed to a blog tour; while editing this morning, I regretted not capturing more complete room views, so you'll need a bit of imagination.
Susan's home is situated in the small farming town of Montana where we all grew up, specifically in town, near the farm 6 miles outside; the house, built long ago, underwent extensive renovation before her family moved in, yet it retains wonderful “old farmhouse” appeal.
Approaching her front entrance reveals an adorable little porch...

We enjoyed breakfast and coffee in those comfortable chairs each morning, planning our days—it was truly beautiful!
The Entrance Area

Her entry area functions as a covered porch, always adorned with charming furniture and curated vignettes.

Her husband fashioned the corner shelf unit from an old door; for the summer, her decorative accents featured bright yellows, coral, and aqua.

The Dining Space
Adjacent to the kitchen is the Dining Room, featuring a delightful coffee bar nook.

Given her past as a coffee shop owner, Susan is an expert—and the coffee tastes superb!

Various coffee varieties are displayed in jars on the shelf above, with other coffee necessities stored in the lower cabinet.

She possessed many charming mugs, but the cheerful yellow ones were my personal favorite.
Matching the coffee theme, her table centerpiece was quite sweet!

Observe how the clever girl repurposed simple bottles to spell out “home”.
The Sitting Room
Once more, I apologize for omitting full room photographs; I focused so much on the detailed vignettes that I overlooked capturing the whole spaces; above her sofa, there is a lovely gallery wall centered around an antique window.

The painted Snapple! jars served as colorful accent pieces throughout the room.

Her husband playfully suggested the “S” stands for Susan!

She also creatively converted one jar into a hanging flower vase!
The Visitor's Quarters
The guest room awaited us at the upper landing, situated at the conclusion of the hall.

It was absolutely lovely!

She anticipated every need to ensure our time there was both snug and pleasant; a glass of water rested near the bed in a pitcher.

Our washcloths and towels were perfectly stacked upon the cedar chest, and a fan was available should the warmth become excessive.
The Primary Bedroom
Every space featured charming touches and thoughtful arrangements appropriate for the area. Although I captured numerous photos, I will share the final image I took:

Susan has always possessed a creative spirit, something I observed as she sketched and arranged her rooms since childhood. Her ingenuity remains vibrant, and her knack for transforming her residence into a beautiful dwelling is truly inspiring.

Susan, thank you for the remarkable warmth of your welcome within your inspiring home.
I truly wish the distance separating us was less significant…
P.S. For a glimpse into other family residences, the farmhouse where we grew up is linked here, and my niece’s lovely home tour can be viewed here. Additionally, I plan to share my other sister’s kitchen soon! Family life is quite engaging around here.:)
