The starting point for this season's Christmas palette was this moment:

It involved the charming Cowichan sweater and hat worn by our 14 year old son when he first saw snow.

These items, alongside some budget-friendly finds, formed the foundation for the Silver and Sparkly Winter Wonderland design.

Mixing sparkly metallics, green, and white was a novel and enjoyable experience for me; the simple round mirror looked incomplete, so I crafted a no sew wreath using household items (the wreath form was surprisingly unattractive!)

Discovering silvery gray ornaments featuring snowflakes in my decor box felt like an unexpected early Christmas gift; I bought these last year after Christmas and had completely overlooked them! I arranged them inside a white soup tureen with faux moss balls and greenery.

Adding cedar boughs and Christmas balls to a glass apothecary jar enhances the table's sparkle and color, while a line of aged books introduces depth and history.

While collecting greenery for the garden urn (which contained wet dirt for extended freshness!), I found lovely branches adorned with white berries; I don't know the exact species, but I affectionately call them “popcorn trees” due to their appearance!

Here is the result; what hues are you incorporating into your home this winter?
