Vibrant Hues in Everyday Life

Listen to Louie Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" as background music.

I have a deep affection for vibrant hues, so I explored my photo collection to share some of my favored colors, each embodying a distinct feeling for me:

Blue suggests tranquility, comfort, and serenity.

White conveys a sense of freshness, clarity, and gentle dreams.

Undoubtedly, color selection is the most powerful element in decorating a home.

Consider our basement Laundry Room as an example.

Applying just a few cans of paint (and acknowledging the considerable effort involved!) completely transformed the room's ambiance.

Yet, my enthusiasm for every color presents a challenge when selecting specific palettes.

{Help! I struggle to choose a single color preference!}

In my former residence, I embraced deep, striking tones ~ such as golden yellow, barn red, and dark blue ~ for the walls; I adored it.

There.

Then.

However, moving into this house brought a shift. The dwelling was different, and consequently, I was different too.

I understood that our preferences for home decor evolve alongside the different phases of our lives.

The time of lego blocks, tonka trucks, and little boys tugging at my legs has passed {sniff, sniff). Our family was advancing and transforming, signaling a new chapter that demanded a change.

Tomorrow, I will share resources that aided me in narrowing down my options.
