The terminology dictionary for areas was introduced yesterday. Today, we cover essential tools and equipment found throughout the space.

Encounter "Big Hobart" ~ nearly my height, and that bowl tips the scales at half a ton…(though not actually!). This vessel is a staple for blending bread, cakes, and cookies.

"Little Hobart" is the younger sibling of Big Hobart. She is a favorite. She whips up spectacular refrigerator cheesecake, and her bowl is far more manageable for my sensitive muscles.

"The Big Trays" (stacked beneath the ovens)~ we possess numerous units and deploy them daily ~ starting with frying bacon or sausage for the morning meal.

The "Rack n Rolls" (positioned to the right in the image). These practical aids support the large trays above. Two reside by the bakery, one sits in the cooler, and another rests in the freezer.

"Hotel Pans" available in three profiles. We label them "shallow, medium deep, and deep". We employ these for items such as fruit and vegetable arrangements, sweets, and casseroles.

Several key zones serve as information hubs. A bulletin board positioned to the right (just inside the primary entrance) displays the weekly menu along with the current group's timetable. This arrangement eradicates these inquiries from numerous individuals:
"What’s for dinner?" and "What cutlery should we arrange on the tables for this meal?"
Thus far, the system is functioning exceptionally well.

And, despite this being a poor quality image, the large whiteboard is where we document a comprehensive daily agenda. As each duty is fulfilled, the responsible individual marks it complete.

I compile that agenda the evening prior so I am fully aware of the next day's requirements.
This routine is a total sanity preserver for me, and equally assists my aides in understanding the necessary duties.

The Chef’s Jackets ~ Never have I appreciated how beneficial a single clothing piece can be. Not only do they shield our apparel from spills and stains, they also aid in avoiding burns on our forearms. And observe that pocket on the sleeve? It accommodates a sharpie marker, pen, and temperature gauge. Allow me to explain what a lifesaver it is to always have that sharpie marker within reach! And another amusing detail is that the jacket's construction permits a "clean side" when serving is required and the jacket bears some marks. Brilliant, I assure you!
These jackets are sported by the food handlers. We possess some quirky and enjoyable aprons for the dish crew…
