This piece has been sitting in my drafts for nearly a week, despite my prior monthly blogging schedule planning.
I had intended to publish a significant New Year’s Day entry, summarizing highlights from the previous year, such as:
The enjoyment I found while completing the project Painting My Mom’s Vintage Metal Cart,
my deep appreciation for our lovely “In Between” rental house and its superb open concept living space,
and the series of Delicious Dinner Ideas, which ran for half a month instead of the planned month! I wanted to reflect on how significant the previous year was for us. It involved letting go and saying farewell to certain things, a trip to Georgia, relocating and making adjustments, a period of learning and personal development, and managing 3 different addresses and phone numbers within 8 months! (I still cannot recall my most recent postal code…) It was a time filled with uncertain futures. However, we observed with wonder how God guided a clear path for us. He secured a new position for my husband and provided me with a rewarding part-time role at a jewellry store. Furthermore, in a highly dynamic real estate environment, He blessed us with a permanent home. Indeed, the previous year was remarkable. I view it as one of the most challenging periods of my life, yet I now recognize it as the year that initiated a vibrant, new chapter for us. The year 2017 truly feels like a fresh start: A new community, fresh employment, a new residence… And for me, I am beginning this year with an exciting new pursuit. (Hooray!) I am eager to share all the details with you. This new endeavor is what kept me from adhering to my carefully designed blog schedule. It is a rather positive new venture… Please stay tuned.
