Recently, I walked a path I had avoided for 18 years.
A span of 18 years has passed, folks!
Though I began feeling energetic and hopeful, the journey proved as challenging as anticipated.

My feet hurt, my arms were sore, my hair was affected, and my deodorant failed its promises.
There were intense moments that stole my breath; my fear of enclosed spaces finally made sense.
The skilled expert maintaining a respectful distance was my anchor. Her timely question, “are you ok in there?”, provided the encouragement I needed to continue.
Suffering, discouragement, and ultimately, success.
The total duration from the beginning to the finish was 6 hours.
As I slowly walked to my van in my attractive yet highly impractical boots, I carried the bag containing the source of such hardship ~
A swimsuit.
{For Maui!!}

Please does anyone else relate to this journey??
These are several key takeaways from my journey of personal growth and foot discomfort:
1. Professionals offer valuable support.
2. If you ask them with sincerity, “Do you have anything for a desperate middle-aged woman looking for a miracle?”, they will laugh and offer reassuring words of confidence.
3. As the professional mentioned, they confidently select items from racks that will be “perfect for you”; be prepared, ladies. Swimsuit costs have increased over 18 years.
4. The rise in swimsuit cost relates to fabric density and the level of “miracle” integrated into that material.
5. If you require significant “miracle” features, address it now… it will require payment.
From my blogging experience, I see you are inquisitive. Details are what you seek. I imagine you want to see the actual swimsuit I purchased.
I intend to satisfy you, but if you expect photos of me wearing the swimsuit… that won't be happening.
My goal was to find something meeting two criteria: {A.} Look absolutely stunning and
{B.} Be at least 10 pounds slimmer.
I promptly adjusted this to: {A.} Reasonably attractive and
{B.} Comfortable enough to breathe…}

Although I cannot locate the precise items online, the desired look merges the neckline (slightly lower than high) and racer back from one piece with the empire waist and tie of another, both from the company AquaGreen. I found it splendid, especially how well it concealed when matched with these Nike swim shorts. Mine are black, and fortunately, they lack the word “GUARD” on the rear.
I acquired the top in Canada from Swimco and the shorts at Sears. The kind assistant at Swimco merits recognition for her kindness and helpfulness; otherwise, I would have worn my 18-year-old favorite black pair, which my spouse insists on disposing of.
Her demeanor was both composed and professional, meaning that even if I became thoroughly tangled in a mass of lycra and straps partially wrapped around my head...
I could have quietly asked for assistance...
and she certainly would have provided it.
Fortunately, that situation never materialized...
Phew! That was quite frightening!
