Finding Balance in Content Creation

This morning, I began drafting two entries, both of which I ultimately discarded.

If composing a post proves this difficult, a pause seems necessary, so I took one. Before heading downstairs for more coffee, I decided to enjoy reading a favorite blog.

Ashley of My Handmade Home featured a new guest writer today. As I absorbed Erin's lovely writing from Two Story Cottage, one phrase caught my eye:

“Balance. Authenticity. Moderation…”

This perfectly mirrored the reflections in my mind recently—the very thoughts I struggled to convey in my now-deleted pieces.

MODERATION... I have been captivated by the vibrant Spring home decor and makeovers online. The sheer amount of talent available is both inspiring and overwhelming! I've been considering ideas such as this one:

{The complete house tour featuring that lovely dining room is available here.}

AUTHENTICITY... However, my current reality dictates a lack of time for such endeavors; my home needs attention. Summer camps are approaching quickly, requiring project preparation. I have been tidying and cleaning the camp craft shop to prepare for casting hundreds of plaster moulds,

and researching crafts to gather necessary supplies. {Examples from last year include this, this, and this.}

BALANCE... As you know, blogging is a passion, and my aim is five posts weekly. Some dedicated readers have noticed this has been inconsistent lately. {Thank you for pointing that out!}.

This aligns with a life phase I mentioned in my chat with Barbara, where I recognize the need to temper my blogging efforts. Rest assured, I will return…

For now, extravagant Spring decor and home updates are temporarily set aside…

My immediate focus is on getting some actual food prepared on the stove these days…
