About this time last year, I sold my inaugural Blue Bird Psalms Sign.
Pinterest caused that bird to spread across the internet! I began receiving inquiries about creation and shipping, leading to the launch of the Bildirimlerim Etsy shop to meet demand.
Reading those initial request emails often brought tears to my eyes.
Customers explained their reasons for wanting the sign; one woman was gifting three to close friends undergoing chemotherapy.
Another cherished Mother had recently lost her young son in a heartbreaking car accident, who adored birds.
I wept upon reading a message from a lady buying one for her Mother newly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
The genuine connection comes not from the exquisite artistry or the magnificent design, but from the inscribed words.
“He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. Psalm 91:4”
Much like these words provided me with hope and solace during difficult times, I've seen the profound effect these life-giving phrases have on others, offering hope, comfort, shelter, and security in frightening or sorrowful moments.
While painting recently, an ancient melody surfaced in my thoughts.
“Under His wings, I am safely abiding,
Though the night grows deep and storms rage wild;
Yet I can trust Him; I know He will protect me,
He has redeemed me, and I am His child.”
{Does this tune resonate with you also?}
That long-ago song inspired the inclusion of a small baby bird sign in the collection.
It is now available alongside several of the initial designs. Canada Post advises that Americans can still receive it before Christmas if it ships promptly. (Fingers crossed!)
I completed a few more Christmas signs just last night.
My sincere gratitude goes out to everyone who has purchased through my shop (and thank you for your patience while I finished more pieces!).
