Jennifer L. Scott's Ted talk about a 10 Piece Wardrobe sparked my interest, as she shared that many stylish individuals in France maintain a core collection of just 10 items, each thoughtfully selected for versatile pairing.
I found this idea appealing and decided to try implementing a similar approach for myself.
My initial step involved trying on every garment in my closet; while tiring, this process helped me identify existing pieces that fit well, offered comfort, and were adaptable for inclusion in the 10.
(A sizable donation of clothing resulted from this sorting!)
After determining my existing wardrobe foundations, I acquired several essential new items.

Here is my selection of 10 items for a casual Summer wardrobe:
(1) Black Capri Pants (2) Floral Top

I appreciate that this top is made from a comfortable t-shirt fabric yet features charming and unique detailing at the neckline.

(3)Denim Skirt (4) Olive colored Cold Shoulder Shirt

(5) Navy Bermuda Shorts (6) Elephant Print t-shirt

(7)Orange print tank (9)Orange ruffle t-shirt (9)Olive Shorts (10) Red Striped tank:

Because every piece can be combined with others, numerous distinct looks can be created from this limited set.

Changing accessories, such as jewelry, also allows for subtle variations in styling.
This interchangeable system proves incredibly useful when packing for a trip; these 10 items are what travel with me!
This collection represents my casual attire, separate from my work wear, though I applied a comparable method to that category as well. I am unsure if the French strictly adhere to 10 items, but I needed a few more!
(P.S. I can provide specific clothing details if you wish. The new items I bought this year—the black capris, floral top, and cold shoulder t-shirt—came from Winners in Canada, with the elephant print t being from Mark’s Workwear World.)
