Sharing glimpses of the Entryway endeavor has shown me how much blogging encourages the completion of tasks.
Today marks the unveiling; I am proudly presenting the entire Entryway to you.

Please come take a look inside!
My initial desire for this entryway was to make it feel truly 'grand'.
This is not a flashy grandeur, but one that feels warm, inviting, and mirrors our home life.

{***A quick note: I chose rope for the stairway trim instead of wood…}
I find it most rewarding to begin right from the start.
Remember when we brought our boxes and dreams in, wanting this space to feel like a family home? This was that day:

The Entryway has seen various improvements over the years; here is how it looks this morning:

That narrow hall with floor-to-ceiling railings on one side needed a touch more cheer…

It looks so much happier now…

Besides the general paint job, the stripes offer the most noticeable transformation to the area…

Honestly, those stripes bring me so much joy.
The closet is a close second; that huge space with a full rod, a shoe shelf constantly losing items, and no door was driving me crazy…

I captured this photo just before clearing everything out, and it transformed into this:

While there is still some work inside, it is already far more practical!

Beneath the wallpaper in the photo above are approximately 6 more layers. I learned long ago that painting over wallpaper can be useful in unique situations like this; most of the painting occurred earlier, choosing White Down by Benjamin Moore as the primary shade.

This recent undertaking was merely a small {$0} enhancement.

The pictures for the stairwell gallery wall were crafted using scrap wood and leftover house paint.

The remaining artwork was from my existing collection, save for this paddle:

It was quite damaged when I retrieved it from the mud…

A bit of adhesive, stain, and paint revitalized it.

I also adapted a family command center I previously made into this:

Positioned right behind the front door, we finally have a spot for keys (and sunglasses!). The chalkboard adds a nice touch too…
This experience gives me a slight sense of being an educator.

Some adjustments have been made for further development:

To this revised version:

Wishing everyone a wonderful week! I plan to spend several days with a friend in the adjacent province, so we will connect upon my return...
