For a month in late Spring, we hosted the young adults from our camp staff for Sunday dinners at our home.
Since that experience, I have been hesitant to host on our deck.

However, the lovely autumn weather encouraged me to try again. Once the “China Dining Room” was arranged, we added a second table onto the deck. Since this was unplanned, I lacked specific decor items beyond the burnt orange serviettes.

We took a table and two benches from the camp craft shop, and draping blankets over the benches softened them while concealing a rather striking paint design!

As I gathered items from my pantry, the pairing of yellow and blue naturally became the chosen color scheme.

I genuinely find this cheerful color combination quite charming.

Yellow zinnias were incorporated.
The table runner featured shells, green apples, and yellow zinnias.

It was both fast and simple to arrange.
{P.S. Our gathering was a potluck featuring appetizers, soup, a bun, and dessert. I prepared a generous amount of White Chicken Chili alongside plenty of coffee. Attempting to prepare the entire meal for 40 individuals would have caused significant stress instead of just decorating tables!!}
