Quick Fix for a Bathroom Wall Gap

For almost two weeks, our bathroom featured a significant opening in the wall while we awaited the electrician's return from vacation.

However, right up until the day before his arrival, the sink and toilet were operational within the space, even if the appearance was not ideal.

During this waiting period, I felt the urge to take action! I taped various paint samples onto the wall to determine the final color for the room. {If you browse my Pinterest Bathrooms inspiration board, you will observe that nearly all of those designs feature blue and white!}

It felt like I was constantly wavering between my initial preferences each day.

Ultimately, I resolved to make a definitive choice. Witnessing a room undergo a color transformation brings me great joy, though selecting a hue from a minuscule paint chip presents a difficulty.

After extensive online research and reviewing numerous inspirational images, I settled on Seasalt from Sherwin Williams. Since there is no SW location close by, I brought the sample to our local Benjamin Moore and had them create the precise mix for me.

The paint remained untouched in my entrance area for several days until I decided to apply the color to the walls that are currently in place in the room. While painting at this point in the renovation is technically 'out of sequence' overall, I opted for a 'one wall at a time' approach!:)

I also need to observe a substantial area (or an entire wall) painted before I can confirm if I truly appreciate a color.

Fortunately, I do.

It evokes a sense of tranquility and calm, shifting its hue pleasantly based on the surrounding light.

As I write this, I can hear my handyman husband working on sanding and applying the next coat to the new dry walled wall.

Hooray…! I absolutely adore seeing things advance!!;
