Transforming Spaces with Home Projects

I feel the urge to tackle a significant home renovation, specifically transforming my cluttered basement storeroom into an organized space.

However, I first need to manage the various tasks currently occupying my attention.

Reflecting on these matters today, I realized they are not merely chores; each one represents a considerable gift, shifting my focus from what needs doing to expressing gratitude.

1. Painting endeavors...

signs

Since the Etsy shop has been without blue bird signs for several weeks, I began restocking shelves yesterday, completing 7 pieces, and this morning received the 3rd shop order. I feel immense thankfulness that customers purchase my handcrafted items! {A huge thank you!} This color pairing was very successful, so I plan to replicate it today.

2. Cultivating plants...

During a recent trip into town, I noticed young plants arriving at the stores. This brief opportunity allows purchasing 4 plants for less than $1.50, so I secured several flats. Next, I must place them in new planters and move them to the greenhouse to flourish for a few weeks.

flowers

Whenever I work with flowers, I recall a man's comment from years ago about regions facing severe poverty where survival, not beauty, is the daily focus. He noted that pretty flowers are absent in such places, stating, “Where there is no hope, there is no beauty.” I often consider this, wondering how a vibrant, lovely flower could uplift those spirits…

...And I am thankful for the abundant beautiful sights God permits me to witness daily…

3. Garments... {I playfully intended to keep the 'P' alliteration going, but 'Laundry' simply didn't fit!}

pants

Indeed, Laundry. Though routine, I actually appreciate it {especially during the brief moments of being caught up!}. It also prompts me to feel grateful for the family whose laundry I am handling… Life would feel so solitary without them.

{Furthermore, I appreciate a washer and dryer providing clean, pleasantly scented clothes. This hasn't always been the case here!!}

4. Fresh produce...

This week, I am experimenting with some new, wholesome recipes, acquiring items such as these:

produce

Some items, like the eggplant, are new to me! I find it quite aesthetically pleasing, don't you think?? If the taste isn't great, it would still look lovely as a table decoration…

In any case…yes, I am grateful for fresh, vibrant food, something I often overlook.

Regarding the healthy recipes? If they prove popular, I will share them; otherwise, we won't discuss them.

By the way, it is now lunchtime, so I should start chopping those nutritious vegetables.

Wishing you all a wonderful day, abundant with and surrounded by numerous blessings~
