Two beloved home style writers shared news of relocating; Melissa from The Inspired Room is settling in Seattle, while Ashley from The Handmade Home still has her residence for sale.
Hearing about their moves saddened me greatly; their homemaking adventures provided such inspiration, and I truly didn't want to see them depart from the homes connected to them (Ashley's kitchen inspired my own kitchen update!).

You can picture how much I struggled with deciding when and how to share that Bildirimlerim we are also moving.
Indeed, we are.
I intended to wait until the destination and timing were certain so I could provide a clear account for you to absorb.
However, life does not always present itself in perfectly organized segments…

Over the 25 years of our marriage, we have resided in 6 distinct homes; these included a 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom country house (when it was only the two of us!) and an apartment with the world’s smallest kitchen (a joke, of course) and a laundry area two floors down.
If I had to select a favorite, it would be that every single one; each possessed admirable qualities, and I recall them with warmth.
I was also keenly aware that none of those residences were permanently ours, requiring constant care. While I aimed to make them feel like 'home' for us, my devotion was for our personal happiness, not for 'resale'.
Consequently, I face a peculiar quandary as a home décor blogger.
It is somewhat challenging to determine blog topics while in the process of saying farewell to a house! I am no longer undertaking small renovation tasks or fixing specific items. Nevertheless, ensuring the place is well-maintained for the next family is important; thus, we are decluttering, organizing, and cleaning…

We eagerly anticipate welcoming: wherever that next location may be.
Despite the sorrow of leaving a home and a place of service after 23 years, we approach the future with optimism.
We learned in June that a move within the coming year was inevitable, and we are thankful for the time to thoughtfully navigate this life shift.
We remain in our current home while my husband is serving in a consultative capacity at the camp, seeking divine guidance for our next step. {If you are inclined to pray, please offer your prayers for us!}
Presently, I am working part time at the jewelry store until Christmas, tidying up our house (which remains enjoyable even without moving!), and developing Etsy shop items before Christmas. (Perhaps these will fund our moving truck!:))
