New Bluebird Signs Now In Stock

New Hand-Painted Signs — Now Available in My Etsy Shop

During a recent four-day power outage I finally found the quiet time to paint a fresh batch of signs. I’ve just listed the new pieces in my Etsy shop, so if you’ve been waiting for one, now is a great time to take a look.

These signs reflect a mix of familiar favorites and some new experiments. I kept a few of the classic styles that many people have loved, reworking them by hand to highlight the brush strokes and color depth that make each piece unique.

Classic Designs

I painted several of the “classic” signs that customers often ask for. These designs are simple, timeless, and work well in a variety of decor settings — from casual beach houses to cozy country cottages. Each one is painted by hand, so no two are exactly the same. Below is an example of one of the classic blue bird signs:

New Lettering Styles

One of the new pieces explores a different lettering style. I’ve been trying alternate hand-lettered scripts and block styles to see how they change the overall personality of a sign. Some lettering choices give a sign a softer, vintage feel, while others read more modern and graphic — it all depends on the mood you want to create.

New Colors and Finishes

I also introduced a new color variation this time around, bringing a brighter option into the collection. Color choices can completely change how a sign complements a room — a bright hue can provide a cheerful focal point, while more muted tones blend into rustic or minimalist schemes.

In addition to the brighter color, I experimented with darker, aged finishes that mimic barnwood and reclaimed textures. These distressed, rustic finishes add a warm, timeworn character that works well in farmhouse, industrial, and vintage-inspired interiors.

Choosing the Right Sign

Think about the mood you want to set in the room where the sign will hang. Classic lettering and softer colors tend to feel calm and welcoming. Bolder type and brighter colors create an energetic focal point. Distressed, barnwood-like finishes offer a cozy, lived-in look that pairs well with neutral palettes and wood furniture.

Availability and Custom Options

All of these newly painted signs are listed for sale in my Etsy shop. If you’re interested in a particular style or would like a custom color or lettering option, please reach out through the shop listing. I’m happy to discuss customizations and to help match a sign to your space.

Care and Display Suggestions

Hand-painted signs do best in indoor environments where they’re protected from direct, extended moisture and extreme temperature swings. A soft cloth or feather duster is usually all that’s needed to keep the surface clean. For hanging, consider wall anchors suitable to the weight of the piece and the wall type to ensure a secure display.

Thanks for Looking

Thank you for taking the time to view the new collection. Your interest and feedback help shape future designs, so I always appreciate hearing which styles you prefer. Which of these finishes or lettering styles would you choose?
