Gina’s Summer House tour series inspired me this week, leading me to wish you could visit my home in person.
Since an actual visit is unlikely, I decided to give you a look at how our house appears now, as if you were here; cleaning up for imagined guests is quite motivating!
Please come inside!

You chose a wonderful day to see it, as the sun is shining beautifully.
Our Entryway has recently undergone a small update.

Scrap wood bits and leftover house paint were transformed into a Gallery Wall, complemented by painted stripes in the narrow hall.

The complete unveiling will happen on Monday.
We moved into this historic beach house roughly 5 years ago; it initially featured dark panelled walls and 70s’ style finishes. Take a peek at THE KITCHEN from then:

A bit of care and creative, budget-friendly effort dramatically improved this area, making it feel bright and cheerful.

I still appreciate my open cupboards here. Notice the fruit on the counter? I'm focusing on healthier eating lately, a shift from my usual candy bar preference!

The pansies blooming outside bring me joy, and having a few on the windowsill enhances dishwashing!

After several years with the fabric cupboard doors, I find they aren't the easiest to clean, requiring some maneuvering to remove them for washing. Yet, I would certainly choose it again!
~THE LIVING ROOM~

A few weeks ago, I discovered a lovely striped rug at Walmart. During my tidying, I relocated it from the Dining Room to the Living Room, creating a noticeable difference! The photo doesn't fully capture it, but it gives the room a sense of spaciousness and vibrancy.

I introduced touches of my current favorite hue, aqua blue, and even tried my first 'modern art' piece (located in the upper right of the image).

The cheerful yellow in the bookcase remains a favorite, so I've kept it for a while; perhaps some yellow cushions would look great too…
~THE DINING ROOM~

The Dining Room hasn't changed much since its last presentation; I converted some discount tablecloths into stencilled curtains and repurposed an old, soiled box into a tabletop flower arrangement.

That covers the main floor; if you explored today, you'd find unmade beds, laundry in progress, and bathrooms needing attention! However, I've included images of those areas when they were tidy.
