The dining area stands out as a personal favorite within our home.
This space is rich with history and features I adore, particularly the charming windows composed of numerous small panes.
Throughout the years, we have invested significant effort into this room. It has undergone multiple paint applications, and the stencilled drapes were a true passion project.
The issue was that we rarely made use of it.
While I wish I could claim we frequently host substantial dinner gatherings, that isn't our reality. In fact, we didn't host a single large dinner party last year! (I doubt I was present long enough to organize one…)
It would be lovely to say we bring our small family together around this table nightly for meals. However, that isn't our routine either.
My spouse and I have had many extensive conversations about our ideal vision for this room. We aimed to redesign it to improve functionality, ensuring we utilize it more frequently.
Consequently, when an email arrived from Benjamin Moore, we immediately identified which room needed a makeover.
Our goal extended beyond just altering the appearance; we also sought to change the utility of the space.
The primary furniture items will remain in place (they are cherished family heirlooms!), but they will receive new and enhanced roles!
{Any predictions about what they might be? Stay tuned for the continuing story…}
