Last day I shared how my sister and I transformed her kitchen within a 7-day period.
For those who missed it, here is a look at the kitchen prior to the changes:
It features a charming traditional design with cherry cabinets and an adjacent Dining Room.
A storage closet is situated past the refrigerator, and the double door closet houses the laundry area.
This elevated counter is heavily utilized by the family for morning coffee or breakfast.
The decluttering aspect of the renovation allowed us to discard many needless items in Becky’s kitchen, creating more usable space.
Observe the small, narrow cabinet beside the window; it stored only frequently used items like coffee filters. We replaced it with a few coats of Whitetail paint from Sherwin Williams, moving away from the purple sponge paint.
We installed two shelving units where an unused cupboard once stood, turning it into a functional and attractive coffee bar.
We purchased these shelves at Hobby Lobby when they were half price!
These shelves provided the desired element of character and texture.
The Dining Room received its initial refresh by removing a large china hutch, which instantly expanded the perceived size of the area.
Applying Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams paint to the peak wall gave the neutral space a refined color accent.
Adding 96-inch long white panel curtains enhanced the feeling of height and elegance in the room.
A sizable clock, also sourced from Hobby Lobby, introduces warmth, texture, and visual interest to the white wall.
Replacing old placemats and towels made way for beautiful new pieces, such as square burlap placemats and mason jar flower vases from Bed, Bath, & Beyond.
The printed rug from Walmart anchors the Dining Room and adds significant character.
Participating in this Kitchen Makeover was genuinely enjoyable!
However, the entire narrative is not yet finished.
My sister and I spent an hour on a Facetime call yesterday discussing tiles and countertops!!;)
