During this season, invitations for potluck gatherings, bake sales, or 'bring a treat' events are frequent; deciding what to contribute can be tricky.
Recently, while watching Anna Olson's program on the Food Network, I saw her create a Pumpkin Chocolate Bundt Cake with Butterscotch Glaze, which seemed simple, especially since it didn't need an electric mixer.
Consequently, I prepared this dessert and presented it at our recent small holiday gathering.

Serving an unfamiliar dish causes some apprehension, but since I have tasted it, I plan to bake it again.
Anna noted its excellent freezing quality, so I prepared it several days before the party. Once fully cooled, I wrapped it and stored it in the freezer; on the event morning, I retrieved it and frosted it after partial thawing.
Given my strong liking for sweets, the glaze is my favorite element, though the cake itself is wonderfully moist and flavorful.

The full recipe is available here; it appears quite adaptable. Instead of pumpkin puree, I utilized pumpkin pie filling, an item I found unexpectedly at the grocery store. I wondered about the texture and taste impact, but it worked out well.
I'd love your advice: what do you typically bring to party potlucks?
