After just six days as an Etsy seller, I realize I lack expertise, but I encountered a question about managing the administrative tasks of my new Bildirimlerim venture; I need a system for tracking sales and expenditures from the start.
Lacking specific guidance, I chose a traditional approach for now; I would appreciate any superior suggestions you might offer, as hunting for a misplaced receipt is quite unpleasant.
Previously, I sold items from Pampered Chef {kitchen products} and Close to My Heart {papercrafting products}, and both organizations provided excellent guidance on business record-keeping.
I modified those helpful methods to suit my current business operations.
The process is quite straightforward.
First, label twelve file folders corresponding to the twelve months, prefixing each with an (E) to denote Etsy-related matters.

Next, include an Income and Expense tracking sheet within every folder; mine can be found here.

Third, record every transaction, both income and costs, as it happens, and file all relevant receipts for that month in the corresponding folder, which simplifies future reference.

Currently, my venture is very small and the profit is modest; however, as Bildirimlerim expands, you will likely need to evolve this basic method to better suit your increasing earnings.
