Inject vibrancy and style into any room with a simple paper bunting banner.
Sometimes a home refresh is desired without incurring extra expenses.
I am a big advocate for utilizing existing household items for decoration.
Do you have some paper spare at home? If so, this paper craft offers a DIY home accent project.
This writing originated when we resided in our former house after completing a small entryway update.

During that time, I aimed to incorporate yellow decor, drawing from my scrapbooking materials to create this.

Materials needed for this craft:
- 61 inches of light string or baker’s twine
- 3 squares of 12x 12 inch patterned paper with matching designs
- Paper Cutter (or scissors and a ruler)
- Double sided tape.
- White cardstock
- Round paper punch
- Letter stamps (or print letters via a computer printer)
- Decorative ribbon for the terminal points
Directions:
1. Measure 61 inches of lightweight string, fold it in half, and secure the two cut ends with a knot.
2. From the 3 coordinating 12 x 12 pieces of scrapbooking paper, trim each to 8 x 12.

3. Fold every piece so it measures 4 x 12.

Cutting along the folded edge, cut again at 4 inches; this should yield 4 x 4 folded pieces.

4. On the unfolded section, mark 2 inches over and cut to form a triangle.

5. After all triangles are cut, attach them to the string on the inside of the folded triangles. {Some extra triangles will remain.}

6. Tape with double-sided tape.

7. Using your computer printer {or alphabet stamp set, if you have one}, print out the letters you’d like to use onto white cardstock. I then punched mine out with a 2 inch scallop circle punch and taped them to the front.

8. I attached the string to the wall with thumbtacks, and covered them with some knotted ribbon.

That’s it!
