Uncovered windows are not my preference.

They present a chilly and bare appearance, transforming into large, dark rectangles at night.
A patch of green duct tape over a significant fissure provided a touch of character; I found a small sticker on the window proclaiming “virtually unbreakable” quite amusing. Maybe they should test those windows in a teenage boy's room…?

I struggled to decide on the right covering for this window, even making my family endure a tedious car trip to the fabric shop.
No particular material immediately captured my attention.
Considering the price of $18.00 per meter, something should certainly stand out!
And maybe even possess some flair!
Ultimately, I selected my usual choice that I anticipated loving~
A painter’s drop cloth was the pick; I already possessed some ready for use, but this time, I incorporated a striped fabric at the top.

This curtain panel was acquired on sale as it was the last one available {I crafted a pillow using a piece of it}.
We faced a snag when mounting the curtain rod because one side of the ceiling was an entire foot higher than the other!! Where should the rod be placed? We decided to align it with the window frame.

The outcome was quite successful.
It is now adorned…{The green duct tape has been swapped for clear packing tape. We will replace that panel when our warm Spring rolls arrive.}
{The curtain rod was bought at Home Depot. I selected the Levelor at about $14.97 in a coppery finish, mimicking the aged stained boards, as it was the sole remaining option. I am very pleased with it!}
