Completing my summer as a camp cook feels like finishing a long marathon with just two weeks remaining, and the anticipation for the end is exciting despite the fatigue; my friend Sue kindly managed the kitchen while I recuperated over the last few days, but I plan to try working today.
Before returning to my duties, I wanted to share some wonderful things I found online during my time at home.
After enrolling in the Simplified Graphic design course months ago, I was immersed in the camp kitchen; now, I finally reviewed the videos and truly enjoyed it, following Emily's detailed instructions by 'practicing' along, which resulted in this:

During this creative project, I researched numerous new typefaces; while it might seem minor, I am quite passionate about fonts, and my Graphic Design Pinterest board holds an incredible selection of fun fonts…
I also learned that my taste in fonts tends toward the pricier end; while looking through choices, I noticed many required payment, with one particularly shocking option costing $695—I was astounded by how much letters could cost.
Another highlight was discovering a house yesterday that I find absolutely lovely.

The coastal ambiance, including the palette and decor, is so appealing; I might look closely at those images and emulate what I like!
For a bit of humor, an article about candid notes from children made my son and me laugh uncontrollably yesterday.
Time for me to refocus and head to the kitchen; I anticipate today will be manageable.
Lunch will be meatball subs, followed by ham and scalloped potatoes for dinner…
all for just 158.
