Cleaning can feel like a daunting task, especially with so many products promising the best results. After years of testing countless cleaning systems, nothing has impressed me more than Norwex. It seemed pricey at first, but these products prove cost-effective since they only need water to clean. They are quick and efficient, and they protect our health by eliminating harmful chemicals. Let me share my favorite Norwex cleaning products that have completely changed my household chores.
When our three boys were busy little toddlers, I felt like a complete failure when it came to cleaning.
A messy, disorganized house made me anxious, but I just couldn’t seem to get it together. I was so frustrated that I decided to study housecleaning methods as if my life depended on it. (Is that weird??)
I went to the library and checked out every book I could find on the subject.
We all have our things that bring us joy… and a tidy, clean house is one of mine. (Not that it’s always in that state, though…)
During that time I had an alarming stash of cleaning products crowding the shelves in my laundry room and cupboards, thinking that more options made me better prepared for every cleaning task…
All that changed with a birthday gift.
My friend Cheryl showed up one day with a gift bag, and tucked inside the pretty tissue paper were some cleaning cloths that changed my entire housecleaning life. They were part of the Norwex cleaning system, which I’ve since become completely hooked on. If you’ve never heard of it, here are the five products that dramatically changed my cleaning routine.

The EnviroCloth & Window Cleaning Cloth
The EnviroCloth and window cloth were what Cheryl gave me on that birthday years ago… and they kicked off a whole new cleaning switcheroo.
Norwex’s antibacterial Microfiber EnviroCloth removes dust, dirt, and grease from all washable surfaces using only water, with no chemicals! When used with the proper care and instructions, Norwex microfiber can remove up to 99% of bacteria from a surface. The super-absorbent EnviroCloth picks up dust particles and holds them until you rinse it out. Then BacLock, Norwex’s registered Silver Agent, works inside the cloth to self-purify and inhibit odours caused by bacterial, mould, and mildew growth.
The window cloth works the same way. No spray is needed at all. Just run it under water, wring it out, wipe, and voilà! Windows and mirrors are sparkling clean with no streaks.

Laundry Detergent
Since Cheryl was so passionate about the Norwex system, I enjoyed learning all sorts of facts about cleaning from her. For instance, it never occurred to me how dangerous the chemicals in laundry detergent and fabric softener can be to our health.
I’ll admit I had never really considered that before. I just wanted our clothes to come out of the wash clean and smelling good!;)
Her explanation of how chemicals from cleaning products can absorb through the skin and cause serious health problems made me take notice.
So… I switched to Norwex laundry detergent.
And I love it so very much! It needs less than a teaspoon of detergent per load, so one bag lasts us a long time!
How Can I Get Norwex Products?
Norwex is a home-based business sold by individual consultants. I’m not currently a consultant, but if you search your local Facebook groups, you can probably find a Norwex consultant nearby. They are your very best resource for Norwex products and information.

The Norwex Products I Use Most…
Over time I have switched almost all of my cleaning systems over to Norwex for a more efficient, “fewer chemicals” approach that’s better for our health. Here’s what I use:
- Norwex EnviroCloth and window cloth set – The powerful duo that can clean and shine everything from mirrors and faucets to lifting stains out of carpet! Get all the details on the EnviroCloth here.

- Norwex Cleaning Paste – This stuff is like magic and lasts a LONG time! I use it with a SpiriSponge. It makes silver shine and cleans my stovetop like a charm!
- Laundry detergent – Once I learned how dangerous the chemicals in laundry detergents can be when they soak into our bodies through the skin, I switched to Norwex’s “clean” laundry detergent. One bag lasts a long time since you only need a small spoonful (1 tablespoon! You don’t need to fill up the scoop that comes in the bag!;)). I also use wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets loaded with chemicals, and I use this trick for how to make laundry smell good!
- Norwex Mop System – I know it seems like an expensive purchase, but I’m still LOVING this mop system I bought 8 years ago! It comes with 2 mop heads: a yellow one for dry mopping and a blue one you wet and use to wash the floor. It’s absolutely perfect for our laminate wood floors and is quick and easy on my back.
