After finishing the decorating of the Christmas tree with red decorations on Friday, I chatted with you previously.
Did you know that a Christmas tree toppling in your living space produces a gentle "whooshing" sound?
We have experienced this firsthand.
I noticed the noise early Saturday morning and simply returned to sleep, initially thinking a poster had slipped from one of the boys' walls…
However, my husband entered the room to find a considerable mess; the tree lay face down amidst broken glass balls, needles, and water. He tidied everything before I saw it…
The poor, disheveled tree…
Next, the totes were brought out, and Irwin and the boys searched through all the ornaments, finding it genuinely amusing to hear them exclaim, “Oh, I recall this!”
All their fun, cherished ornaments were placed back onto the tree…
…and a few other items surfaced throughout the room…
It was during this activity that we identified the second issue caused by the fallen tree.
Our satellite TV could no longer access the “Holiday Music” channel or any other program; it sputtered intermittently, similar to when snow covers a satellite, yet there was no snow!
While troubleshooting with the technician over the phone, my husband pinpointed the cause.
The excessively large tree stand, holding gallons of water, had leaked through the floor, dripping directly onto the satellite receiver in the basement below.
The optimistic tech man advised, “Unplug it for a few days and observe what occurs…”,
“…It is merely water; though, if it were milk, I would inform you it was ruined right away.”
He must have encountered some amusing situations in his profession.
{We are still awaiting confirmation of whether it remains functional…}
And this time, we secured the tree to two walls!
Thus far, everything is going well!
