Are you familiar with crafting projects using coffee filters?

A recent day brought gray skies and a storm; a fire was burning merrily as I sought a suitable stand for my new birdcage and sparkling ornaments. I eventually determined I required something soft and white in appearance, but I lacked feathers or a feather boa to repurpose…

What should I do then?

2. Apply white acrylic paint to the cardboard Christmas tree structure.

3. Crumple individual coffee filters, pinching them tightly at the base and allowing them to fluff at the upper edges. {This requires a significant amount.} Twist the bottom of each crumpled filter and affix it to the cardboard base using a dab of hot glue.

Suggestion: Build from the bottom up, ensuring the upper coffee filters are slightly smaller in their scrunch.
