Although the beginning of Spring was some time past, I only just completed adorning my Living and Dining Room for this lovely season last week!
I thoroughly enjoyed refreshing the area, and found inspiration while searching for "English Cottage" concepts on Pinterest. These suggestions were rapid and uncomplicated, lacking groundbreaking novelty, yet I believed I’d pass them along in case they might motivate you to attempt something comparable in your own residence.

If you have been a follower here on Bildirimlerim for some time, you are aware that I take pleasure in decorating for various seasons using articles I already own. Below are several suggestions and advice for Spring decorating in English Cottage style for the Living and Dining Room.

- Select specific zones you wish to modify the decor for each time of year. Do not overwhelm yourself by believing you must alter everything if you desire to refresh a space for a new time of year. Since our living and dining room forms one connected area, I focus on the Living Room Bookcases and the farmhouse wall shelves in the dining room. Minor accents – such as a ginger vase arrangement on the Dining table can make a significant difference, too.
- Integrate some vibrant green elements. Greenery – whether artificial or live plants – proves suitable for any time of year, yet appears especially lovely for Spring. I tuck them onto the shelves and place some upon the coffee table and end tables.
- Inspect your dish cupboards for fresh, new Spring decor. I chose to delve into my antique buffet and exhibit what is normally stored inside it- above it!– upon our simple wall shelves. My Mom’s and Grandmas’ tea pots and teacups look so pretty when grouped together – and integrate perfectly with English Cottage style. Other dishware that works well for decoration are bowls, pitchers, and vases.
- Relocate wall art to give a space a whole new look. We were recently given a larger tv for our living room – which covered half of the mirror behind it! Relocating the mirror into the Dining Room gave both spaces a whole different look.
- Switch out pillow covers and throw blankets appropriate for the new season. I have an assortment of throw cushion covers that I like to switch out for different looks. Pillow covers take up so much less space than cushions, so I just have 2 lovely down filled cushions, and I switch up the covers. This time, I used simple striped cushion covers. I can’t find the exact ones I have online, but these look nice!
- Don’t forget you can decorate with real fruit. Fruit that you eat and use on a regular basis looks so bright and cheery in bowls and can be used for decor, too. Bright yellow lemons and shiny green apples both look so pretty for Spring.
