Transform your dining area with these boho-inspired decoration concepts.
I generally avoid committing to specific decor aesthetics, yet I explored the boho style description. In my own terms, it represents a vibrant look brimming with culture – featuring an eclectic blend of surfaces and motifs.
Regardless of specific elements, I have found myself drawn to inspiration photos labeled as "boho".
Indeed, we recently undertook a boho style bedroom project – and the result is fantastic!
I set out to test my skills by incorporating some of that unrestrained aesthetic into other parts of our residence as well.
Currently, we are introducing boho styling to the dining room.

I have always appreciated the farmhouse vibe, so a majority of the decor items I own lean toward that direction. Nevertheless, I aimed to utilize my existing pieces to create a look that feels a bit more boho contemporary with a farmhouse twist.;)
The wall shelves in my dining room are among my preferred spots to accessorize, and I enjoy updating them for each new season.
Below are the decor concepts I applied in this setting.
1. Suspend woven trays, baskets, or wicker chargers to create a wall accent.
I have been noticing how others have employed a "trail" of woven baskets or trays on a wall to achieve a collected-over-time appearance. While considering where to shop for some, I recalled I already owned wicker chargers stored in my cupboard!
Small nails made it simple to mount them on the wall.

2. Incorporate layers of foliage.
Boho home decor style frequently features an eclectic mix of greenery, so I integrated my personal collection. I combined both living and artificial plants for this display. Some of my plants are flourishing better than others, but I am working on improving my plant-parenting skills.

3. Combine various textures on the shelf to create visual intrigue.
A collection of plush place-mats, ceramic bowls, glass items, and wooden shelving creates a cozy ambiance in the room. An aged canvas artwork also provides visual intrigue for the wall area.
